Fundraise for Children's Cancer Institute
Every week nearly three Australian children will die of cancer.
Children's Cancer Institute believes this is three too many. Their vision is to save the lives of all children with cancer and improve their long-term health, through research. Their organisation exists solely to put an end to childhood cancer.
Sixty years ago, cancer was nearly always a death sentence for a child. Now eight out of 10 children survive - and it is medical research that has made this huge difference.
Balmoral Swim for Cancer has been supporting the Children's Cancer Institute since 2006. Their mission is cure all children, like Ellie of cancer. All funds raised in the Balmoral Swim goes to their childhood cancer research which is driving us closer to uncovering a cure.
Proceeds support Zero Childhood Medicine
Fundraising from the 2019 swim, will help support Zero Childhood Cancer, which is the Children's Cancer Institute's national personalized medicine program for children with high-risk cancer. This Australian-first program will give hope to children who are at highest risk of treatment failure, by identifying the best possible tailored treatments for them. Zero Childhood Cancer is a key step towards the vision of one day curing 100% of children with cancer.
We can only make Zero Childhood Cancer a reality with your help.
